Post-Encounter is a Retreat for Post-Highers (as in post high school age) which runs concurrently with Encounter. It's open to those between the ages of 18 and 22, who may also be called "college age" or "college-n-career".
Since newly introduced for Encounter '07, Post-Encounter has proved itself to those young adults that attended to be an opportunity for learning and strengthing. It was a great success and the planning committee is commited to making it a regular part of The Encounter Retreat.
Post-Encounter takes place during the same weekend as Encounter Retreat (for Jr./Sr. Highers) and offers a similiar experience. Those attending Post-Encounter will share other things with those attending Encounter, like the theme, location, meal times, free-times, and opportunities to build relationships with God and others. Post-Encounter will have separate Sessions with a different speaker and a music leader then Encounter. The separation allows for their speaker(s) to approach and direct the Biblical teachings and the theme to the young adults so they can apply what they learn to their post-high school lives as they transition into a new world.
